Italian Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Posted by Solitary Dancer on June 15, 2007

Italian Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

This is an interesting recipe I stumbled upon. I really like Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing and I’m going to put this recipe on my “to try” list.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb fresh asparagus, bottoms removed
8 ounces Italian salad dressing, Original Recipe recommends Kraft Zesty Italian
1 lb bacon, about 10 to 12 slices

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut 1 to 2 inches off bottom of asparagus spears.
2. Place in gallon sized zip top plastic bag.
3. Pour 8 ozs Italian Salad Dressing in bag with asparagus.
4. Marinate for at least 1 hour in refrigerator.
5. When ready, preheat oven to 400 degrees.
6. Wrap 3 asparagus stalks with 1 slice of bacon.
7. Place on foil lined cookie sheet.
8. Bake 20-30 minutes on 400 degrees until bacon crisp up. May have to turn over half way through cooking time.
9. Remove from pan to cool slightly.
10. I usually get around 10 to 12 bundles.
11. Enjoy!
