SweetTLC’s Crispy Tangy Wings

Posted by Solitary Dancer on May 11, 2006

SweetTLC’s Crispy Tangy Wings

These wings are delicious, crispy and tangy…they are similar to heroin wings. The tasty coating keeps the wings juicy and flavorful…and the dressing adds a nice tang…a great alternative to hot wings. Try using the dressing of your choice. The dressing is more for moisture and texture than for flavor…but the dressing does add a bit of flavor and a delightful and tasty tang.

Ingredients:

* 10 chicken wings
* approximately 1/2 cup Hidden Valley Spicy Ranch Dressing
* parmesan cheese
* almond meal (optional – you can use all parmesan cheese)
* salt
* 1 Tablespoon parsley
* 1/2 Tablespoon dried chives

How To Prepare:

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

When I bake wings, I always line a 9×13 pan with foil and then I set a rack on the foil and I bake my wings on the rack sprayed with Pam…the foil makes for easy clean up and the rack helps the wings to crisp up on all sides and you don’t lose most of the delicious coating on the bottom of the pan.

Season the wings with salt and set aside. Pour some dressing into a bowl and set aside.

Put 2 parts parmesan cheese and one part almond flour into another bowl (you can skip the almond flour and use just parmesan cheese) until you have about one cup total. Mix the herbs into the parmesan mixture. Dip the wings first into the dressing and then carefully roll the wings in the parmesan mixture and set the wings on the rack. Bake the wings for 45 – 50 minutes until the wings are no longer pink inside. Serve with additional dressing for dipping.
