Assorted Shakes and Smoothies

Shakes and Smoothies

Basic Shake
1 Pkt Jell-o sugar free pudding — any flavor
4 oz Heavy Cream — 125g
4 oz cold water — 125g

Using a blender add 2-3 ozs water with about 1/4 blender full of ice
cubes Blend until ice is slushy, then add Pudding/Shake Mix and 3-4
ozs of Heavy Cream. Blend on high to desired thickness.

Peppermint Twist Shake
1 pkt Jell-o sugar free pudding — vanilla
3/4 cup cold water — (3/4 to 1)
4 ice cubes
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 drop red food or green coloring

Combine all ingredients in blender. Cover and whirl at high speed for
approximately 30 seconds. Pour into chilled glass. If you have it,
garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Vanilla Smoothie
2 1/2 T. 90% Soy Protein Isolate (0 carbs)
8 oz. vanilla yogurt (check container)
1 T. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon

Combine all ingredients, blend until well mixed. Garnish with a
sprinkle of nutmeg over the top and a sprig of fresh mint leaves.

Egg Shake
1 egg (about 1 carb)
3/4 c. carb-aware milk (3 g carbs)
1/2 tsp. lemon or vanilla flavoring
Splenda to taste

Combine egg and Splenda, beat until mixed thoroughly. Add milk and
flavoring. Serve over crushed ice or cubes.

Blueberry or Strawberry Smoothie
1/2 C blueberries (8 g carbs) or strawberries (4-5 g carbs)
2 T Water
2T Soy protein isolate, 90% (0 carbs)
1/2 C Crushed ice

For each serving, thoroughly mix 1/2 cup thawed berries and 2
tablespoons each water and soy protein isolate in a blender. Add 1/2
cup crushed ice and blend until smooth.
Serve in a 12-ounce glass.
Optional: Use cream or carb-aware milk instead of water (<1 g carbs)
and four drops of Splenda liquid (0 carbs)
