Mimsey’s Chocolate Protein Mocha Shake

A great idea from Mimsey.

This is one of my favorite lunches for a rich chocolate treat. It definitely fills me up until the next meal and the coffee is a nice afternoon pick-me-up. When you blend it for 60 seconds on high, it gets a silky texture. The carb count is about 12 or 13, so too high for breakfast, but it makes a nice lunch on-the-go. Protein is about 30g, calories about 500.

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use Designer Whey Chocolate)
1/4 cup cottage cheese or ricotta (whole milk)
1/4 cup cream
2 to 4 Tbsp DaVinci chocolate syrup
2 Tbsp cream cheese (whipped cream cheese OK)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 rounded teaspoon espresso powder or instant coffee
2 or 3 ice cubes

Add all ingredients to blender & mix on low a bit til combined. Increase speed to high for 60 seconds. Pour in a glass and chill in the freezer for a few more minutes if you can stand to wait!
