Rick’s Pork Loin BBQ Ribs
2 – 3 Lbs. Pork Loin Ribs
1/2 Cup paprika
1 Tbsp kosher salt
1/4 Cup coarsely ground black pepper
3 Tbsp basil
3 Tbsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp dry mustard
2 Tbsp onion powder
1/2 Cup dried oregano
1/2 Tbsp cayenne
1 Tbsp white pepper
2 Tbsp dried thym
1 Tbsp McCormick Grill Mate – Mesquite
Mix up rub and put in a jar.
Coat the ribs with the rub. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminium foil and place ribs on top. Place in oven on middle rack. Bake at 350 deg. for 30 min., reduce to 250 deg and continue for 30 more minutes.
This is a heavy flavored rub. You might want to exclude the Mesquite as it is strong stuff.
You may want to reduce the heat and bake longer; it might make the meat a bit more tender. I used 3 large ribs and in my oven they were well done.
You may want to cut the rub recipe in half as there is enough for several batches.
